SIA Board minutes, August 21, 2006
Wayne called the meeting to order at 6 P.M.Members present: Wayne Jones, Steve Howard, Amy Blankenship, Lori
Sauls, Eli Sauls, Ron Dougherty, Sarajane Smith
Steve made a motion to accept the minutes of the last meeting. Amy seconded it.
Steve stated that Andrews University had a timeline for their project.
The Industrial Park was discussed. To have or not to have a meeting wasdiscussed.
Steve stated that we need to ask if we could be involved in the writing of the covenants.
It was agreed to have the public meeting on September 7th.
The Town Center Meeting is August 28th, next Monday.
Wetlands delineation was discussed on the McGuire land. Eli said that the man who is doing the survey could mark the trees for preservation.
Steve reported on the Farmer's Market Meeting and Farmer's Market Workshop. Steve reported that the vendors wanted him to raise the fee and that all the money would go back into the Farmer's Market.
About 400 people visited the market on the previous Saturday.
Amy Blankenship presented the plan on Building and Beautification.
