Saucier Farmer's Market, starts July 1st
Fresh produce and local art and craft!
At last we are ready to open the Farmer's Market here in Saucier. The Market is situated just to the North of the intersection of Old Highway 49 and Saucier Lizana Road. It will run each Saturday and Wednesday, from 6am.
The first Saturday in each month will also be Craft day, where local artists can sell their wares - this month we have makers of home made jewelry, pottery and others planning to attend the market in addition to vendors of fresh produce, honey and more.

I was wondering why the location was not at 49 & Hwy. Hwy. 67 Intersection? I am pleased one has opened.
Good question. If we had access to that land, we may have used it. From a purely commercial perspective, it is a more visible location.
But what we do have access to is the 24 acres in the center of town that has been offered up for development. This is is a pleasant, central location that will, ultimately, be the walkable town center that is planned.
I am waiting for a some good Tomatoes.
Sorry for the delay on comment posting, by the way. I had it set to moderate - meaning I got an email telling me you posted a comment, but the comment did not get publ;ished until I said OK. I've set it so the comments get published straight away instead.
Is there going to be a charge for selling?
There will be no charge during the first month (July). We will begin charging sellers from August 1st, once we have had a chance to speak to the sellers and establish what our costs are. We have insurance, land lease and some other things to cover. The SIA is non-profit, so charges made will be only to cover our costs.
I hope it dose well. I will be visiting there this Sat.
