Old Business
Saucier Community Center has been booked for the upcoming three community meetings: June 22-volunteers; June 29-churches; July 17-water and sewage. All three meetings will begin at 6:00.

The Architecture and Beautification committee has been changed to Building and Beautification to help clarify the role of the committee.

The sign for the Farmers' Market is still not up. It was stated that the land does need some cleaning, Ron Dougherty volunteered to clean the land with his equipment. It was agreed to meet at the land on Saturday, the 17th, at 7:00 to work on cleaning the site and on hanging the sign. All helpers welcome.

Wanda Pate and Steve Howard worked on condensing The Plan. Copies were distributed to members present. It was noted that items in the green print have been done. This new form is for our reference. The timing will be worked out later. Changes may also be made as committees look over the responsibilities. The numbers used are the same numbers as used in the original plan.

Wanda Pate asked about having something to mark the entrance to Saucier. SIA needs to be thinking about possible ways to do this. It was suggested that the entrance accent the pine heritage of the Saucier area.

The length of responsibilities of the Building and Beautification committee was questioned. It was decided that they could be broken down into subcommittees whose heads would report to the main committee.

A summarised version of The Plan will be presented to the Board of Supervisors. It will basically include: an executive summary, goals of the plan, current position of SIA planning effort, specific target items, methods, and responsibilities. This will be identified as a live document, meaning we recognise it must evolve according to prevailing circumstances, and recognising that we may not yet have identified everything that should be included in the Plan.
New Business:
Amy Blankenship presented information about water and sewer. It was stated that it could be five years before a sewer system is developed to support the proposed town center development. An interim solution is needed. An informational packet on composting toilets was presented. Amy explained the idea of such toilets and how they could be of benefit to Saucier. These toilets could be used at the Farmers' Market first as a test run, and then moved to the town center if they work out. The cost of building and maintaining such a system was questioned. Amy will work with Eli to investigate this further and report at a later date.

Amy Blankenship was appointed at the position of a flexible subcommittee member. She will work with whichever area needs her, not limited to any one specific topic.

Getting rid of old, junk trailers was identified as a problem. Amy is investigating making it easier for people to dispose of the old trailers to make room for other living options. A report will be presented later.

The next meeting will be June 19th at 5:30.
